About Altman General Contractors
Since 1931 the Altman Company has been a steady fixture in the central Ohio construction community.
The Altman Company has its grass roots planted in the days of the "Great Depression". Norman Altman Sr., a construction superintendent, and Martin P. (Pat) Coady, an architect founded the Altman-Coady Company in 1931.
In the beginning growth was slow and only small contracts and miscellaneous repairs were on the table. A number of small service stations were completed. In the late thirties Altman-Coady Company received contracts from various manufacturing companies and school districts. In the forties and fifties larger contracts began to emerge and the Altman-Coady company had made a name for itself. In the following years, although the name had changed to the Altman Company, the growth continued by completing contracts for numerous industrial and commercial buildings.
In recent years the Altman Company has completed a number of schools, hospitals, libraries and various state and local contracts. We provide excellence in the field of general contracting. We employ outstanding contractors to complete all projects in a safe and timely manner. Now we are moving forward into the 21st century as one of the leading general contractors in the state of Ohio.
